The Triple Challenge

Test yourself with the triple challenge. The triple challenge is the ultimate recreational experience for the hunter/fisherman. Hunt a Red Deer, fly fish a trophy trout and surf cast a sea fish in under four hours.

We start with a heli-hunt for Red Deer across the mountain tops of South Westland. Experience the thrill and excitement of aerial stalking as developed and perfected by the pioneers of the deer recovery industry. Our experienced guide will be there to assist you in all aspects of your hunt.

After flying back to base and unloading your deer, we once again head for the hills in search of our secret location "no-name river". Our pilot will fly you over the river in search of the crystal clear pools and streams that house the abundance of trout. Trout can be seen swimming in the pools below as you fly over. Landing within a few metres of the river's edge, experience the tranquil environment as you fly fish for your trophy trout. After catching the trout you have the option of taking it home for dinner or releasing it back into the river (for next time).

From "no-name river" our pilot will scour the Tasman Sea coastline for the ideal spot to land and surf cast from. Surf casting off the Tasman Sea coastline is breathtaking and rewarding with catches such as Blue Cod, Tarakihi, Gurnard, Butter Fish, Maori Chiefs and occasionally Crayfish.
